netPanel is built so your data stays yours. The app talks to a Hub you own, on your own network. Using the app with your Hub at home needs no account at all. We do not track you, and we do not collect analytics.
When you connect the app to your Hub, it saves — on your device only — the Hub's address on your network, its name, and, if you use one, your remote link. This is what lets the app find your Hub next time. Deleting the app removes it.
The app sends the commands you give it — change the screen, adjust a light, view the display — directly to your Hub. At home this stays on your Wi-Fi and never leaves your building. Away from home, those same commands travel to your Hub through the netPanel relay, operated by us, purely to pass traffic between your phone and your Hub. We do not inspect or retain what passes through it beyond the short-lived logs any web server keeps to stay secure and working.
iOS asks your permission for the app to reach devices on your local network. netPanel needs this to talk to your Hub directly at home. It is used for nothing else — no scanning of other devices, and no reporting of what is on your network.
Camera views, uploaded photos or videos, and anything you put on your display are stored on your Hub, on hardware you own. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot see them.
If you email support or use our support form, we keep your message and contact details for as long as it takes to help you and to keep a record of the conversation. That is the only personal information we hold, and it comes from you choosing to write to us.
netPanel is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
